Over the centuries, the foul ratmen have spread,
starting settlements beneath unsuspecting cities
and invading underground strongholds from below.
They have created a vast web of tunnels across
the world.
With their heightened intellect and humanoid
bodies, the Skaven have learned to use warpstone
to fuel their corrupt sorceries and to create
weapons of awesome power. Warpstone is vital to
the Skaven — it drives their civilisation.
Skaven rely on weight of numbers and potent magic
to overcome their foes. Regiments of Clanrat warriors
swarm forward in a squeaking tide supported by
the insane warpstone weapons of Clan Skryre and
the mutant beasts of Clan Moulder. Clan Eshin
ambush the unwary, and the frenzied Plague Monks
squeak their devotion to the Horned Rat as they
hurtle into the enemy.
